Take solar projects from sale to commissioning — and help build the playbook while you do it.
We’re growing our mid-market commercial delivery capability and this role is at the centre of it. You’ll coordinate small and medium scale commercial solar projects through the full delivery lifecycle — working with engineers, external project managers, subcontractors and the broader delivery team to get systems designed, installed and commissioned. This is a business that’s actively building its commercial delivery model, and you’ll be part of that journey from the start.
What You’ll Own
Projects end-to-end
Each project is yours from sales handover through to commissioning — coordinating across multiple stakeholders to deliver on time, on spec and on budget.
Engineering & design coordination
Work with the engineering team to ensure designs are progressed, site-specific requirements are captured, and design outputs support a smooth installation.
Installer & subcontractor coordination
Brief delivery partners on scope, access, timing and expectations — then keep it on track through to commissioning.
Variations & commercial management
Manage cost changes, document variations, and keep your projects within approved budgets — commercial clients expect rigour.
Job close out — financials & documentation
Ensure every completed project is closed accurately: compliance documentation validated, customer handover packs sent, invoicing actioned and STC submissions completed on time.
Client communication
You’re the client’s main contact through their project — confident, professional and proactive. Commercial clients expect a higher standard and you deliver it.
What We’re Looking For
You’ll need:
- 2+ years in project coordination, installation management or field delivery — ideally in solar, electrical, construction or C&I projects.
- Confidence working across multiple stakeholders simultaneously — engineers, subcontractors, customers and internal teams. You’re the person who holds it all together.
- Strong organisational skills — solar and battery projects have a lot of moving parts. You need to manage complexity without losing track.
- Commercial awareness — you understand that scope changes, scheduling decisions and material orders all affect project margin and client relationships.
- Detail-oriented on documentation and financials — every project needs to close cleanly with accurate records, invoicing and compliance documentation.
- Clear, professional communicator — commercial clients expect a higher standard of project communication. You deliver it.
Bonus if you have:
- Commercial or residential solar installations.
- Familiarity with DNSP processes for commercial connections, STC documentation or CEC requirements.
- Experience working alongside project managers or engineering teams on complex projects.
- Experience with project management or field service platforms.
