Hapuku Fisheries Pty Ltd is a leading seafood processing and export facility, specialising in high-quality, sustainably caught tuna and other pelagic species. We are a licensed export and domestic distributor based on the Gold Coast.
Position Overview:
We are seeking full-time Seafood Process Workers to join our production team. The successful candidates will be responsible for the preparation, cleaning, processing, packing, and handling of fresh and frozen seafood to export standards.
Key Duties:
- Grading, sorting and processing large fish species
- Filleting, trimming, and portioning seafood to specifications
- Operating vacuum sealers and blast freezers
- Maintaining hygiene and food safety standards
- Accurate weighing, labelling, and packing of products
- Cleaning and sanitising work areas, tools, and equipment
- Following workplace health and safety and HACCP procedures
Requirements:
- At least 12 months experience in seafood processing or similar food handling environment
- Ability to work in a cold environment and perform repetitive manual tasks
- Knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices
- Good communication skills and ability to follow instructions
- Reliability and strong work ethic
