Personal Care Attendant – Supported Residential Service
We are looking for a reliable and caring Personal Care Attendant (PCA) to join our Supported Residential Service (SRS).
Please note this is a low-care facility. It is not NDIS support work and is different from aged care. We do not have high-care residents. Most residents are independent and able to manage their own daily routines.
The role is mainly to provide simple day-to-day support in a home-like environment.
Main duties include:
- Daily general cleaning and housekeeping tasks
- Supporting residents with their daily routines when needed
- Providing emotional support and friendly communication
- Monitoring residents’ general wellbeing
- Reporting any concerns to the Manager or PSC
- Assisting with basic household duties, similar to helping around the home
- Following workplace policies and procedures
Requirements:
- Certificate III or above in Individual Support, Aged Care, Disability, Community Services or similar
- Current First Aid certificate
- Medication Administration certificate preferred
- If you do not have medication training, relevant training can be provided
- Reliable, patient and willing to work as part of a team
- Previous SRS, support work or care experience is preferred but not essential
This is a simple and practical role in a friendly low-care residential setting. It would suit someone who is caring, responsible and happy to assist with daily household tasks and resident support.
Pay: $24.95 – $30.00 per hour
