About your role
As a Senior Social Worker (Domestic & Family Violence), you'll play a pivotal role in strengthening Metro South Health's response to Domestic and Family Violence by designing, delivering and evaluating evidence-based education and training for frontline healthcare professionals.
Key responsibilities include:
Design, deliver and evaluate contemporary DFV education and training programs.
Support implementation of the DFV Specialist Health Workforce Program.
Build workforce capability using trauma-informed and evidence-based approaches.
Provide expert DFV advice to multidisciplinary teams and key stakeholders.
Collaborate with internal and external partners to improve DFV responses.
Develop reports, briefings and recommendations to support program outcomes.
Contribute to policy, protocol and education resource development.
Mentor, supervise and support students and less experienced staff.
Lead and contribute to quality improvement and service development initiatives.
Promote collaboration, continuous learning and best practice across Metro South Health.
About you
You are an experienced Social Worker with advanced knowledge of Domestic and Family Violence practice and a passion for education, workforce development and system-wide improvement.
You will bring:
Tertiary qualification in Social Work and eligibility for AASW membership.
Extensive experience in Domestic and Family Violence practice.
Demonstrated ability to design and deliver engaging education and training.
Strong understanding of trauma-informed and evidence-based practice.
Excellent communication, facilitation and stakeholder engagement skills.
Experience providing expert advice within multidisciplinary environments.
Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.
Experience leading or contributing to quality improvement initiatives.
Commitment to culturally safe, person-centred practice.
Current Blue Card and C Class driver's licence
