We have a fantastic leadership opportunity with dual responsibility for our Mt Isa team and for growing our sales in the region! We are looking for an enthusiastic Branch Supervisor to support and lead our local team ensuring our Customer First philosophy is delivered. This role will also see you responsible for driving sales across a dedicated territory through sound strategic planning and sales excellence as our Business Development Manager.
Whilst you will be focusing on delivering exceptional service to our customers, this role will see you responding to sales queries, supporting the quoting of customer orders, liaising with other locations and departments to source products and walk in counter sales requirements. No day will ever be the same!
Your key responsibilities include, but not limited to:

Lead, coach, and mentor a team of Customer Service Officers and Warehouse team members

Effectively manage site pick and pack, local manufacturing, and customer specific testing work
-
Actively drive employee engagement and improvement using feedback, data analysis and action planning

Build engaging relationships with our customers, internal and external stakeholders during every interaction

Manage and lead all safety objectives including training for staff and reporting to senior leaders

Regular visits to customers sites to develop technical solutions, offer best practice advice and services

Achieve budgeted sales and trading margin contribution targets
You will be well supported with a team of technical and sales experts.
To be successful, you will have:
-
Previous sales experience, understanding in Industrial Supply or Trade is an advantage
-
Ability to coach, lead and have performance discussions to support your team’s growth & success
-
Sales experience with a strong focus on customer service and building rapport
-
Drivers licence essential and forklift licence preferred but not essential
-
Attention to detail with the ability to multi-task & focus on completion of allocated tasks & reporting

Excellent oral and written communication with a proactive approach
-
Comprehensive computer experience specifically Microsoft Suite (Excel and Word a must)

Strong time management skills with a solutions focused approach to problem solving

Be safety minded and promote all things safety within our branch

Experience with industrial products such as lifting and rigging, trade products is preferred but not essential
