About Us
ATCO Windows is an established aluminium window and door company working across residential, commercial and remedial construction projects throughout Sydney.
We are looking for an experienced Aluminium Window & Door Installer to join our team.
This position is suited to someone who is experienced in aluminium windows and doors, takes pride in their workmanship and is capable of carrying out installations with minimal supervision.
Key Responsibilities
· Install aluminium windows and doors on residential and commercial projects.
· Remove and replace existing windows and doors as part of remedial and replacement works.
· Install commercial aluminium window and door systems, including sliding, awning, double-hung and hinged systems.
· Glaze windows and doors where required.
· Accurately measure, position, level and fix window and door frames.
· Install flashings, angles, trims and associated aluminium components.
· Seal windows and doors using appropriate sealants and installation methods.
· Read and work from plans, elevations, shop drawings and installation details.
· Identify and resolve installation issues on site.
· Work closely with supervisors, builders and other trades.
· Maintain a high standard of workmanship, presentation and site safety.
Essential Requirements
· Minimum 3 years’ experience installing aluminium windows and doors.
· Strong knowledge of aluminium window and door systems and installation methods.
· Ability to carry out installations independently with minimal supervision.
· Experience with both new installations and replacement/remedial window works.
· Ability to accurately read plans, drawings and measurements.
· Experience with glazing and handling glass.
· Good understanding of sealing, waterproofing and finishing around window and door openings.
· Tools & vehicle provided.
· Current White Card.
· Current driver’s licence.
· Physically fit and capable of safely handling windows, doors and glass.
· Reliable, punctual and able to work as part of a team.
· Strong attention to detail and pride in workmanship.
Highly Regarded
Experience with any of the following would be an advantage:
· Commercial aluminium window and door systems.
· Remedial building works.
· Window and door replacement in occupied buildings.
· Commercial glazing.
· Aluminium flashings and trims.
· Waterproofing details associated with window and door installations.
· Reading architectural and window shop drawings.
