Kinetic is investing in a modern enterprise data platform that will transform how data is used across our ANZ business. As a Senior Data Engineer, you'll play a key role in designing and building the foundations of that platform, developing scalable data pipelines, integrations and data models that enable trusted reporting, analytics and future AI capabilities.
Working as part of our Data & AI Program, you'll collaborate with architects, analysts and governance specialists to create a platform that will support decision-making across the business for years to come.

Design, build and implement scalable data solutions using Microsoft Fabric and Azure technologies to support enterprise reporting, analytics and AI initiatives.
- Develop data ingestion, integration and transformation pipelines from multiple enterprise platforms including ERP, HRIS, Payroll, Asset Management and Operational systems.
- Design and build data lakehouse structures, data models and engineering frameworks that support trusted and reusable data assets.
- Establish and promote data engineering standards, patterns and best practices across the data platform.
- Work closely with the Solution Architect to translate architectural designs into fit-for-purpose technical solutions.
- Implement and uphold data quality, lineage, security and monitoring controls within platform solutions.
- Support the development of CI/CD pipelines, deployment processes and platform automation capabilities.
- Produce and maintain technical documentation, design artefacts and support materials.
- Contribute to platform roadmap activities, continuous improvement initiatives and future capability uplift opportunities.
Essential
-
Strong experience in Data Engineering, Data Platform or Integration related roles.

Proven experience delivering enterprise data platforms within cloud-based environments.

Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric and Azure data services is essential.

Advanced SQL development and performance optimisation skills.
-
Experience designing and developing scalable ETL/ELT pipelines.

Experience working with APIs, databases, file-based integrations and enterprise applications.

Strong understanding of data modelling, data warehousing and lakehouse principles.

Experience implementing data quality, monitoring and governance controls.
-
Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities with minimal direction.
Desirable

Experience supporting enterprise transformation programs.

Exposure to AI, machine learning or advanced analytics initiatives.

Experience with Azure DevOps and CI/CD practices.

Microsoft Fabric, Azure Data Engineer or related certifications.

Experience working within transport, logistics, infrastructure or asset-intensive industries.
