We seek someone to undertake the role of Compliance Officer on a Part-Time (0.6EFT) basis in our Bendigo office. This role is an initial 6-month maximum term engagement with the possibility of extension. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of our growing organisation.
Remuneration commencing at Level 3.1 on the SCHADS Award ($38.65 per hour), plus salary packaging to reduce the tax you pay and increase your take-home pay (as per PBI status).

- Experience in the provision of administrative support and filing system, production of professional documents and including minute taking.
- Strong attention to detail, analytical and problem solving skills
- Demonstrated understanding of confidentiality
- Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Excellent computer skills including a range of software programs in the Microsoft Office Suite and the ability to quickly learn new (accounting and payroll) software systems.
- Ability to multitask and show initiative in a fast-paced dynamic environment.
As a staff member of Lifely’s High-Intensity Outside School Hours Care (OSHC) program, you are expected to exemplify leadership and a strong dedication to ensuring the safety and wellbeing of all children and young people in your care. Your key responsibilities include:
- Disclosing any information, you learn during your work that a reasonable person would consider could affect your suitability to work with children and young people.
- Acting as a protective figure during all interactions and taking proactive steps to prevent any form of abuse or neglect.
- Adhering strictly to all policies, procedures, and the code of conduct related to child safeguarding.
- Keeping your personal details up-to-date with the appropriate department responsible for working with children checks or their equivalent, in accordance with regulations.
- Completing the Working With Children Check (WWCC) before starting your role and maintaining its validity throughout your employment.
- Undergoing a National or International Police Check prior to employment, and as required by Lifely.
- Reporting any concerns, suspicions, allegations, or disclosures of child abuse or neglect promptly, following standard procedures.
- Participating in all mandatory safeguarding training sessions.
- Using consistent methods to handle feedback, concerns, or complaints from children, families, and colleagues.
- Ensuring that new program ideas involve consultation with children and young people, using approved practices and resources.
- Staying informed about policies and procedures related to the protection of children and young people.
- Attending any additional training related to safeguarding, as required by your role.
- Promoting a culture of cultural safety and inclusion for children and young people from diverse backgrounds, including CALD communities, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, LGBTQIA+ communities, and those with disabilities.
- Assist in maintaining the compliance requirements for staff;
- Update systems with new compliance information;
- Review current staff information to ensure it is up to date;
- Remind and chase up staff for compliance;
- Assist in onboarding new staff to ensure compliance requirements are met;
- Ensure employment documentation is complete prior to staff working;
- Onboard new staff into the Client Management System, Teams and the Payroll System and other external systems as required;
- Respond to general employee queries;
- Assist in general administration.
