Position Descriptor:
Amata Anangu School is a small remote school located on Anangu Country in the north-west corner of South Australia, surrounded by the Musgrave Ranges and approximately two hours from Uluru. Our school thrives with teachers and Anangu Educators working side by side to deliver bilingual and culturally responsive learning programs. Staff work closely together to provide contextualised learning experiences that are strongly connected to community, culture and student engagement.
The Deputy Principal plays a pivotal role in leading teaching and learning, student wellbeing, inclusion and school improvement across the site. Working collaboratively with the Principal, leadership team, staff, students, families and community members, the Deputy Principal provides strategic and operational leadership to ensure all students are supported to achieve success. The role includes leading culturally responsive inclusive education practices, supporting staff development, overseeing student wellbeing and behaviour systems and contributing significantly to the effective management and continuous improvement of the school. The Deputy Principal also works closely with Anangu staff and community members to strengthen partnerships and ensure educational programs reflect and value local culture, language and aspirations.

In addition to the salary, the following financial incentives may apply:
Locality Allowance - approximately $10,000 per annum
Fully subsidised accommodation including all utilities (accommodation may be shared)
