Early Childhood Educator – Diploma
First Academy Child Care Centre is a purpose-built Early Childhood Education and Care Service located close to public transport and local parks. We are seeking a passionate and enthusiastic Diploma Qualified Early Childhood Educator to join our professional team.
This is a Full-time or Part-time position for a motivated educator with a genuine commitment to delivering high-quality education and care while promoting children's learning, safety, wellbeing, participation and rights.

Your role as a Diploma Qualified Educator is to:
· Work collaboratively with the Leadership Team to inspire, mentor and support educators while promoting a child-safe culture, effective supervision and the safety, wellbeing and best interests of every child.
· Plan, implement and evaluate a high-quality educational program aligned with the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF V2.0), the National Quality Framework, the National Quality Standard, the service philosophy and child-safe practices.
· Assess and document children's learning and development, responding to each child's strengths, interests and individual needs while promoting their safety, participation, inclusion and wellbeing.
· Support reflective practice, continuous improvement and quality outcomes by engaging in professional dialogue, critical reflection and collaborative planning.
· Maintain active supervision, identify and manage risks, and contribute to safe, inclusive and culturally responsive learning environments.
· Participate in ongoing professional learning to strengthen knowledge and practice in early childhood education, child protection, child safety, safeguarding, professional boundaries and high-quality documentation.
Essential Criteria
· Child safety is an inherent requirement of this position. All employees are expected to actively uphold and maintain a child-safe culture by complying with child protection legislation, the Child Safe Standards, maintaining professional boundaries and fulfilling mandatory reporting obligations.
· ACECQA-approved Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care (or equivalent).
· Current NSW Working with Children Check.
· Current First Aid Certificate, including CPR, Anaphylaxis Management and Emergency Asthma Management.
· Approved Child Protection training (CHCPRT001 or equivalent).
· Demonstrated ability to undertake the role of Responsible Person and support effective supervision and risk management.
· Sound knowledge of the National Quality Framework, National Quality Standard, Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF V2.0), Child Safe Standards and relevant early childhood legislation.
· Demonstrated understanding of child protection responsibilities, mandatory reporting obligations, professional boundaries and safeguarding practices.
· Ability to identify, respond to, document and report child safety concerns in accordance with legislative and organisational requirements.
· Demonstrated professionalism, integrity, confidentiality, accountability and collaborative teamwork.
· Excellent communication and relationship-building skills with children, families, colleagues and external professionals.
· Commitment to continuous professional learning and contributing to a safe, inclusive and child-focused learning environment.
