opposite the Botanic Gardens. We're looking for an experienced maintenance officer who has worked in a hotel or commercial building before and knows how to keep a busy property running. If you can diagnose a problem, know your way around plumbing, pick the right tool and work safely, we want to hear from you.
The Role
You'll work Monday to Friday, 8am to 4pm. You'll be part of a small, capable maintenance team, supported by the Maintenance Manager and a part-time Handyperson, carrying out day-to-day repairs and upkeep across guest rooms, public areas and hotel equipment.
What You'll Do
Work through daily scheduled tasks and repairs, respond to maintenance
requests from hotel departments, carry out plumbing, pool, repair and
patch work, painting and general property upkeep, record maintenance activities
accurately and follow Workplace Health & Safety policies.
What You'll Bring
Hands-on experience in a hotel or commercial building environment, confidence
with hand and power tools, a keen eye for diagnosing what's wrong and knowing how to fix it and the ability to communicate clearly with the team. Some plumbing knowledge is a essential.
