About Pillarstone Health
Pillarstone Health is a small, local NDIS support provider based in Bundaberg. We're a young, growing team who believe support work should be genuine — taking the time to understand who our participants are, what matters to them, and where they want to go. No cookie-cutter support here: some days that means helping with personal care, other days its on a property lending a hand, sometimes it's just a simple cup of coffee and shopping, or getting someone out fishing for the first time in years.
About the Role
We're looking for a casual Support Worker to join our growing team. This is a great opportunity for someone who genuinely enjoys helping others and wants flexible, meaningful work — whether alongside another job, study, or as your main gig as hours build.
Hours are currently limited but growing quickly as we take on new participants, with the goal of steady, regular shifts for the right person.
What you'll be doing
- Personal care support for NDIS participants
- Community access — outings, appointments, social activities
- Practical, hands-on support tailored to each participant's needs and interests (this could include anything from home tasks to helping with hobbies)
- Building genuine, trusting relationships with the people you support
What we're looking for
- Heart, first and foremost. We need someone who genuinely wants to help and be part of making someone's life better — not just fill in hours. If that's not what draws you to this work, this role isn't for you.
- Certificate III in Individual Support preferred, not essential
- Current NDIS Worker Screening Check (NDISWC) and Working with Children Check (WWCC), or willingness to obtain is essential before commencing work.
- First Aid/CPR certificate (or willingness to obtain before commencing work)
- Current driver's licence, your own reliable vehicle, and comprehensive car insurance — essential. We're unable to progress applications without all three in place.
What we offer
- Casual employment paid in line with the SCHADS Award
- Travel reimbursement — from home to your first client, and between clients during a shift
- Flexible hours that grow as our client base expands, with potential for part-time as we grow
- A small, supportive team who genuinely care about doing this job well
