Primary objective
Provide administration services, quality customer service and support for fleet related internal and external clients and
provide and administer fleet and Licenced Motor Vehicle Dealers (LMVD) related transactions and data in the Motor Vehicle
Registry’s business systems and the Motor Vehicle Registry (MVR) for Business electronic online system.
Key duties and responsibilities
1. Deliver a high-quality customer service to fleet and LMVD customers, including policy and process advice, administration
of all fleet related enquiries, transactions, and complaints.
2. Provide advice to fleet and LMVD customers on use of online booking and payment systems and the MVR for Business
system, including problem solving and error corrections where required.
3. Provide operational advice to stakeholders and unit staff on fleet vehicle registration matters.
4. Undertake desktop and on-site audits of LMVDs and MVR for Business users and assist with responding to emails
received through the Unit’s generic email account.
5. Assist with the preparation of fleet and LMVD related correspondence and reports, and record and monitor incoming
and outgoing correspondence using MVR business systems.
6. Provide general administrative support to the Motor Vehicle Registry for effective service delivery.
Selection criteria
Essential
1. Experience in roles with direct communication with the public to manage inquiries, provide timely service and policy and
process advice.
2. Demonstrated ability to manage own workload, remain calm under pressure and seek clarification when unsure of work
tasks or priorities.
3. High level computer literacy skills across the Microsoft Office suite (or similar) including word processing, spreadsheets,
databases and email with a sound understanding of online records management systems.
4. Ability to build and nurture relationships with internal and external stakeholders such as industry representatives,
including the Motor Trades Association to ensure productive working relationships
5. Knowledge of driver licensing and motor vehicle registration policy and procedures.
6. Experience working with figures, taking payments and reconciling accounts.
Desirable
1. Current ‘C’ class drivers’ licence.
2. Experience reading and interpreting legislation, regulatory frameworks, policies and procedures that apply to own work.
3. A qualification in business administration, customer service or other relevant discipline.
