Experienced Barista / Café Supervisor

We are looking for an experienced Barista / Café Supervisor to join our team.
We’re looking for someone who is fast, reliable, organised and genuinely passionate about great customer service. You’ll be a key part of the day-to-day operation of the café, working closely with the manager and owners to keep everything running smoothly.
About the role
This is a hands-on position where you’ll be expected to jump in and help wherever needed. Alongside making great coffee and looking after customers, you’ll support the manager with the day-to-day running of the café and take on additional responsibilities as required.
Key responsibilities include:
- Preparing consistently high-quality coffee quickly and efficiently during busy periods
- Providing friendly, professional and attentive customer service
- Maintaining high standards of cleanliness, presentation and hygiene
- Opening and/or closing the café as required
- Supporting and leading the team during service
- Helping with staff rosters and shift organisation
- Assisting with stock control, ordering and monitoring stock levels
- Communicating with the owners and helping keep them updated on day-to-day operations
- Helping train and support other team members
- Taking initiative and solving problems as they arise
- Being willing to learn and confidently take on new responsibilities
- Helping with anything and everything required to keep the café running smoothly
About you
We’re looking for someone who:
- Has solid experience as a barista, ideally with supervisory experience
- Is confident and fast on the coffee machine
- Takes pride in producing quality coffee consistently
- Has excellent customer service skills
- Is clean, organised and works well under pressure
- Is reliable, punctual and takes responsibility for their work
- Has a positive, can-do attitude and is happy to get involved in all areas of the café
- Is comfortable taking initiative and working independently
- Has good communication and leadership skills
- Is willing to learn the business and take on management responsibilities
- Has strong attention to detail and good organisational skills
- Is available to work both Saturday and Sunday every week
