Condor Andino Australia is a growing traditional South American street food business specialising in handmade empanadas and other authentic dishes. We operate from our production kitchen in Tullamarine and attend farmers’ markets and events across Melbourne.
We are currently hiring for two casual positions:
CASUAL CHEF OR COOK
This role is based at our production kitchen at 70 Barrie Road, Tullamarine.
Main responsibilities:
- Preparing and cooking food according to our recipes and quality standards
- Preparing fillings and assisting with empanada production
- Portioning, packing, labelling and storing products
- Maintaining a clean, organised and food-safe kitchen
- Assisting with general kitchen duties and stock rotation
- Working efficiently as part of a small team
Requirements:
- Previous commercial kitchen experience
- Availability from Tuesday to Friday
- Weekend availability would be an advantage
- Good understanding of food safety and hygiene
- Reliable, punctual and able to work efficiently
- Ability to follow recipes and instructions accurately
- Reliable transport to Tullamarine
A driver licence is not required for this position.
WEEKEND MARKET TEAM MEMBER
This role involves working at farmers’ markets and events across Melbourne. Shifts may begin in Maidstone or directly at the market location, depending on the event.
Main responsibilities:
- Transporting products and equipment to different market locations
- Assisting with market stall setup and pack-down
- Serving customers in a friendly and professional manner
- Taking orders and processing payments
- Preparing and serving food safely
- Restocking products and keeping the stall clean and organised
- Safely assisting the team with lifting and moving kitchen equipment weighing approximately 50–60 kg
Requirements:
- Full driver licence
- Weekend availability, including early mornings
- Fluent English and confident customer communication
- Customer service or sales experience is preferred
- Comfortable driving to different market locations
- Physically capable of assisting with team lifting and market setup
- Reliable, punctual, friendly and able to work well under pressure
