Are you a skilled Civil Trades Person looking for a role that offers variety, flexibility, and the chance to work in one of Sydney’s most scenic industrial locations? Ventia is seeking a motivated individual to join our Civil Maintenance team across Clyde and Gore Bay Terminals.
This casual position offers the opportunity to transition into a permanent role after a successful trial period. You’ll be part of a supportive crew maintaining and restoring key infrastructure for Viva Energy, with work that truly makes an impact.
What You’ll Be Doing

Civil maintenance across roads, paths, concrete, brickwork, fencing, and gates
-
Repairs to buildings, doors, windows, roof vents, and sewer vents

Security maintenance including gates, locks, and hatch covers
-
Working at heights and confined spaces (with valid tickets)

Liaising with field staff, contractors, and customers

Keeping work areas clean and safe

Supporting other trades as needed
Key Skills & Qualifications

Trade qualified in one of the relevant disciplines including bricklaying, concreting, carpentry

Proven experience in civil maintenance or general trades

Ability to perform concrete, bitumen, brickwork, and structural repairs
-
Confined space and working at heights certification (or willingness to obtain)

White Card and First Aid certification preferred

Strong understanding of WHS regulations and safe work practices

Ability to read and interpret job scopes and safety documentation (JSA, risk assessments)

Excellent communication and teamwork skills
-
Forklift or other relevant tickets a bonus
