Your new role:
As a Principal House Officer / Registrar within the Logan Hospital Obstetrics & Gynaecology Department, you will contribute to the delivery of high-quality clinical care across a busy and diverse maternity and gynaecology service, working within a supportive multidisciplinary team under the supervision and guidance of senior medical staff.
Provide inpatient and outpatient Obstetrics & Gynaecology care, including regular rostered shifts across Birth Suite, Acute Gynaecology and Caesarean Section lists.
Assess, investigate and manage patients, develop appropriate management plans in consultation with senior medical staff, and ensure safe and effective clinical handover and discharge planning.
Develop and apply your clinical and procedural skills, including the ability to perform core Birth Suite and gynaecology skills appropriate to your level of training.
About you:
We are looking for a motivated medical practitioner who is committed to providing safe, patient-centred care and developing their clinical expertise within Obstetrics & Gynaecology.
Demonstrated clinical knowledge, skills and procedural capability to safely assess and manage patients, including in emergency situations under appropriate supervision.
Strong communication, interpersonal and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team and build positive relationships with patients, carers and colleagues.
A commitment to postgraduate medical education, continuous learning and professional development, with the ability to respond positively to feedback and identify opportunities to further develop your skills.
A minimum of 12 months' obstetric experience would be well regarded. Applicants must hold a relevant medical degree and be registered as a Medical Practitioner with the Medical Board of Australia.
