About the Role
We are seeking a warm, engaging and reliable Support Worker to support a participant, a bright and charismatic nine-year-old living in Woodend.
This role is about more than assistance — it is about building trust, connection and confidence while supporting Leo to participate in activities, develop independence and achieve his personal goals.
About You
We are looking for someone who is:
- A younger male support worker (ideally in their 20s)
- Patient, calm and emotionally regulated
- Naturally fun, playful and engaging
- Reliable, consistent and able to build trust over time
- Confident supporting children with autism and complex needs
- Interested in learning and applying PDA-informed and trauma-informed approaches
- Able to provide appropriate boundaries while maintaining a positive and respectful relationship
- A positive role model, mentor and trusted support person
Essential Requirements
- Current Working with Children Check (WWCC)
- Experience working with children, particularly children with autism or additional support needs
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with families and support teams
- A genuine interest in supporting a child’s development, wellbeing and confidence
Pay: $35.00 – $45.00 per hour
