Felix is a wine and pasta bar in Launceston that people genuinely love coming to. We're lively, a little indulgent, and serious about doing hospitality well - great pasta, interesting wine, and the kind of service that feels warm rather than polished. We work hard and we have a lot of fun doing it.
We're looking for a Manager to help lead the floor and keep the Felix experience doing what it does. This is a part-time role running approximately 25–30 hours a week across Wednesday to Saturday, covering lunch and dinner services. It's a four-day week with real structure and real scope to grow for the right person.
What the role looks like day to day:
- Leading the floor during service and setting the tone for the team
- Managing bookings and event enquiries as they come in
- Overseeing stock, stocktake, and ordering... keeping things running without things running out
- Rostering and managing team members with fairness and clarity
- Solving the inevitable problems that come with a busy venue, calmly and on the fly
What we're looking for:
- 2–3 years in hospitality, with some leadership or management experience behind you
- Bar experience and a solid base of wine knowledge - we can absolutely build on what you know, but you need to care about what's in the glass
- Strong people skills, both with guests and with the team you're leading
- Someone who can think on their feet and problem-solve without it becoming a drama
- Organised enough to stay on top of the operational side, but personable enough that guests feel it when you're on the floor

Pay: $35.00 – $42.00 per hour
