We're looking for an Environmental Business Partner who is passionate about sustainability, environmental stewardship and working collaboratively with people to achieve meaningful outcomes.
About the Role
As an Environmental Business Partner, you will act as a trusted advisor to the business, supporting operational and project teams to achieve strong environmental outcomes while maintaining compliance with regulatory and client requirements.
This role offers a unique blend of strategic influence and hands-on support, giving you the opportunity to contribute to environmental management systems, coach and support teams, and help embed sustainable practices across the business.

Partnering with the Business

Build trusted relationships with operational and project teams.

Provide practical environmental advice and support across a range of projects and activities.

Facilitate environmental risk assessments and support the development of effective controls.

Coach and guide teams to build environmental capability and confidence.

Contribute to sustainability initiatives and continuous improvement programs.
Environmental Systems and Improvement

Develop and maintain Environmental Management System documentation.

Prepare and update environmental procedures, tools and work instructions.

Support the development of project-specific environmental management plans.

Identify opportunities to improve environmental performance and simplify processes.
Compliance and Assurance

Conduct environmental audits, inspections and assurance activities.

Monitor compliance with environmental obligations and business requirements.

Prepare environmental reports and communicate key insights to stakeholders.

Support the implementation of corrective and preventative actions.
Incident Management

Support environmental incident investigations and root-cause analysis.

Assist operational teams to identify lessons learned and opportunities for improvement.

Promote a proactive approach to environmental risk management.
About You
You may be an experienced Environmental Advisor looking for your next step, or an Environmental Business Partner seeking a broader opportunity to influence and lead environmental outcomes.

Tertiary qualifications in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering or a related discipline.

Experience working in environmental management, advisory or compliance roles.

A sound understanding of environmental legislation and environmental management systems.

Experience within construction, utilities, infrastructure or other operational environments.

Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.

The ability to build relationships and influence outcomes through collaboration.

A practical and solutions-focused approach.

A commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
Desirable

ISO 14001 Environmental Management System experience.

Lead Auditor qualifications.

ICAM or incident investigation training.

Experience developing environmental management plans and compliance documentation.
