Restaurant Supervisor – Pistou, Newtown
Pistou is a small French Mediterranean restaurant and wine bar located on King Street, Newtown. As we reopen and rebuild, we are looking for an experienced, hands-on Restaurant Supervisor to join our team.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone who genuinely loves hospitality, enjoys building relationships with guests and has a passion for food and wine.
We are seeking a leader who understands that exceptional service and thoughtful recommendations go hand in hand, and who can help drive sales through warm, knowledgeable hospitality.
About You:
- Minimum 2 years' experience in a supervisory role within a restaurant environment
- Strong wine knowledge and confidence recommending wines and food pairings
- Proven ability to drive sales and increase guest spend through genuine hospitality and upselling
- Warm, bubbly and professional personality
- Experience leading service and training team members
- Ability to create memorable guest experiences and build relationships with regular customers
- Excellent organisational and communication skills
- Current RSA essential
- Availability Tuesday to Saturday evenings
- Immediate start available
The Role:
- Lead service and ensure a seamless guest experience
- Manage opening and closing procedures
- Train, mentor and support front of house staff
- Assist with bookings and daily operations
- Drive sales through wine, cheese, dessert and menu recommendations
- Help rebuild and grow a much-loved neighbourhood restaurant
