About the Role
This is a hands-on senior position for an experienced automotive technician with deep expertise in transmissions and advanced diagnostics. You will be the technical backbone of the workshop, trusted with complex fault-finding, mentoring junior staff, and delivering work that meets the highest professional standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair automatic and manual transmissions
- Perform advanced vehicle diagnostics using scan tools and technical data
- Identify root causes of complex mechanical and electronic faults
- Oversee and guide junior technicians where required
- Ensure all work complies with safety, quality, and manufacturer standards
- Communicate technical findings clearly with management and service advisors
What We’re Looking For
- Proven experience as a Automotive Technician
- Strong, practical knowledge of transmissions (auto & manual)
- High-level diagnostic and fault-finding skills
- Confidence working with modern vehicles, electronics, and software systems
- Trade qualification in Automotive Technology (or equivalent)
- A calm, methodical mindset and pride in workmanship
