Wood is currently recruiting for a Project Manager to be based in our Brisbane office.
This position will be for a permanent role supporting one of our major clients.
Reporting to Operations Director this role will have direct responsibility for delivering a portfolio of engineering projects in regional Queensland. The successful candidate will manage a team of project engineers and will be accountable for project delivery through concept, Feed, Detailed Engineering and construction support while maintaining strong client relationship and commercial performance.

Scope of Work
- Lead and direct an EPC project delivery team to achieve project objectives for safety, quality, schedule, and budget
- Manage coordination across engineering, procurement, project controls, estimating, HSE, and quality functions
- Monitor project progress and support operational reporting requirements
- Build and maintain strong client relationships, ensuring high levels of client satisfaction
- Drive effective utilisation of HVEC resources while maintaining delivery quality and commercial value
- Champion continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity, performance, and cost efficiency
- Ensure compliance with Wood's project delivery processes and governance requirements
- Identify business growth opportunities and contribute to business development activities
- Collaborate with leadership and cross-functional teams to improve project delivery outcomes
What makes you remarkable?
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (or equivalent)
- 15+ years' direct Project Management experience delivering engineering (brownfield and greenfield) projects within the Energy sector
- Extensive experience as a hands-on Project Manager or Project Delivery Manager working for a project delivery contractor
- Proven track record managing portfolios of brownfield projects through FEED and EPC phases
- Strong leadership, project controls, stakeholder management, and client-facing skills.
- Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills
- Strong commercial awareness and ability to manage multidisciplinary teams
