The Australian Scaffolding is currently seeking a qualified full-time Civil Engineering Draft Person to join our team in Factory 5/1 Culverlands St, Heidelberg West 3081.
We are currently seeking a Civil Engineering Draft Person to support our engineering requirements for construction projects. The role would involve preparing detailed technical drawings, design documentation, and ensuring accurate drafting outputs of scaffolding and temporary structures required for construction works. This aligns with the company’s broader focus on delivering more timely and accurate, high-quality engineering design-driven project solutions.
The job description for the position is as follows, and it is not an exhaustive list:
- Prepare detailed scaffolding and civil drawings, plans, and technical documentation using AutoCAD and Civil 3D.
- Convert engineering designs, sketches, and specifications into accurate technical drawings.
- Assist in the preparation and development of scaffolding designs according to site needs.
- Produce site plans, longitudinal sections, and cross-sections.
- Review and amend drawings in accordance with project requirements.
- Ensure drawings comply with Australian Standards, local regulations, and client specifications.
- Coordinate with project stakeholders to obtain required design information.
- Interpret data, reports, and technical specifications for drafting purposes.
- Prepare and maintain drawing registers, revisions, and project documentation.
- Update engineering drawings to reflect design changes and as-built information.
- Assist with quantity calculations and material estimations where required.
- Conduct quality checks on drawings to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Support project teams throughout planning, design, approval, and construction phases.
- Maintain electronic drawing files and document management systems.
- Participate in design review meetings and provide drafting support to engineering stakeholders/partners.
- Follow workplace health and safety procedures and company drafting standards.
Qualifications:
- Should possess a Diploma, Advanced Diploma, or higher qualification in Civil Engineering Drafting, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
- Must have a minimum of one (1) year of relevant Australian experience as a Civil Engineering Draftsperson.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and Civil 3D.
- Strong understanding of civil design principles and Australian standards.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
The annual salary for this position is $79,400 to $95,000 plus superannuation.
