Salary: $80,000 – $100,000 per annum
We are currently seeking experienced and dedicated Chefs to join our busy kitchen team in Bunbury, Western Australia. This is an excellent opportunity for skilled culinary professionals who are passionate about food, maintaining high kitchen standards, and contributing to the success of a dynamic hospitality venue.
The successful candidates will play an important role in menu preparation, food quality control, kitchen supervision, and maintaining efficient kitchen operations.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and cook a range of dishes in accordance with menu specifications and quality standards
Plan and develop menus in consultation with management and other kitchen staff
Monitor the quality of food during preparation and presentation to ensure consistency and high standards
Estimate food requirements and assist with controlling food and labour costs
Maintain stock levels, order supplies, and liaise with suppliers when required
Ensure all food preparation and storage areas comply with food safety and hygiene regulations
Supervise kitchen staff and coordinate food preparation activities
Demonstrate cooking techniques and provide training and guidance to junior kitchen staff
Assist with the preparation and service of special functions, events, and catering orders
Ensure kitchen equipment is properly maintained, clean, and in safe working condition
Work closely with front-of-house staff to ensure efficient and timely service
Assist in maintaining kitchen records, including stock control and food safety documentation
Contribute to maintaining a clean, organised, and efficient kitchen environment
Qualifications & Experience
Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or equivalent qualification
At least 1 or 2 years of relevant experience working as a Chef in a commercial kitchen
Experience working in a busy hospitality environment
Sound knowledge of food preparation techniques and kitchen operations
Strong understanding of food safety standards and hygiene regulations
