Discount Toy Co is looking for reliable and enthusiastic Casual Warehouse Packers to join our friendly warehouse team.
This is a great opportunity for a university student looking for flexible weekday work, with the opportunity to pick up more shifts during our busy peak periods, such as November and December in the lead up to Christmas .
About the Role
The main focus of the role is carefully and accurately packing customer orders ready for dispatch. You may also assist with receiving incoming stock and other general warehouse duties.
Your responsibilities may include:
- Packing online customer orders
- Checking products and orders for accuracy
- Preparing parcels for courier collection
- Receiving and checking incoming stock
- Unpacking and putting away stock
- Moving cartons and stock within the warehouse
- Keeping packing and warehouse areas organised and tidy
- Assisting with other warehouse tasks as required
Hours & Availability
This is a casual position, generally offering 1–2 shifts per week during our regular trading periods.
Shifts are Monday to Friday only – no weekend work.
As an online toy retailer, our workload varies throughout the year, so shift lengths and the number of shifts available may change depending on order volumes.
More shifts and hours will be available during our peak periods, particularly in the lead-up to Christmas, when our warehouse becomes significantly busier. This can be a great opportunity for team members who are available to work additional hours during university holidays.
The flexibility of the role makes it particularly well suited to a university student looking for ongoing casual work alongside their studies, with the opportunity for additional hours during busy periods.
About You
We’re looking for someone who is:
- Reliable and punctual
- Careful and accurate when packing orders
- Able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Organised and able to follow processes
- Comfortable being on their feet and performing general warehouse duties
- Able to safely lift and move cartons weighing up to 25kg
- Comfortable with the physical nature of warehouse work, including lifting, carrying, bending and standing for extended periods
- Able to work well independently and as part of a team
- Flexible with availability when additional shifts are offered
- Positive and willing to help wherever needed
Previous warehouse or online retail experience is helpful, but not essential. Training will be provided.
