Description:
This isn't just a boots-on-the-ground role. You'll lead subcontract crews, drive quality and safety, and play a key part in establishing JK Williams' own internal pipe crew, giving the business more control, better margins, and a stronger future.
What you'll be doing
- Supervising all civil pipe installation across active projects — stormwater, sewer, watermain, culverts, pits and structures
- Keeping crews on program, on spec, and working safely
- Managing subcontractors and holding them accountable for quality, safety, and productivity
- Running QA, grades, alignments, testing, hold points, as-constructed
- Helping recruit, develop, and mentor our internal pipe crew as we grow self-perform capability
- Being the kind of leader people want to follow on site
Skills and Experiences:
What we're looking for
- Solid background in civil pipe installation and on-site supervision
- Comfortable with IFC drawings, specs, and QA requirements
- Strong communicator who can manage subs and build accountability
- Someone who takes pride in workmanship and doesn't let things slide
- Experience with self-perform crews is a bonus — but attitude and ability matter most
- QBCC licence highly desirable
