Our services include assistance with daily activities and high-intensity supports, community nursing, community participation, supported accommodation and shared living supports.
- About the role
- We are seeking experienced Disability Support Workers to provide reliable, person-centred assistance to NDIS participants, including people with complex and high-intensity support needs.
- You will support participants in their homes, supported living environments and the community. The role requires flexibility to work rostered shifts, which may include mornings, evenings, weekends, sleepovers and public holidays according to participant needs.
- Key responsibilities
- Deliver safe, compassionate and person-centred support in accordance with each participant's goals, preferences and support plan.
- Assist with personal care, hygiene, dressing, toileting, mobility, transfers, meals and other daily living tasks.
- Support participants to build independence, maintain routines and access community, social and civic activities.
- Provide high-intensity and complex supports within your training, competence and delegated responsibilities.
- Follow positive behaviour support plans, risk controls, health plans and incident response procedures.
- Provide medication assistance in accordance with policy, training and participant documentation.
- Observe and report changes in a participant's health, wellbeing, behaviour or support needs and escalate concerns promptly.
- Maintain accurate, timely and respectful progress notes, medication records, incident reports and other required documentation.
- Work collaboratively with participants, families, support coordinators, healthcare professionals and colleagues.
- Protect participant privacy, dignity, choice, cultural identity and rights while maintaining professional boundaries.
- Follow NDIS Practice Standards, work health and safety requirements, infection control procedures and organisational policies.
- Qualifications and experience
- Certificate III or IV in Individual Support, Disability, Ageing Support or another relevant qualification.
- At least two years of relevant experience supporting people with disability, including participants with complex or high-intensity needs.
- Current NDIS Worker Screening Check, or the ability to obtain one before commencement.
- Current First Aid and CPR certificates.
- Current Western Australian driver's licence and access to a reliable, insured vehicle.
- Working With Children Check where required by the participant group or service setting.
- Demonstrated ability to follow support plans, recognise and report risks, and complete accurate documentation.
- Strong communication, de-escalation, teamwork and problem-solving skills.
- Availability to work a flexible roster, including some evenings, weekends, sleepovers and public holidays.
- Highly regarded
- Current training and demonstrated competence in manual handling, mealtime management, enteral feeding, complex bowel care, tracheostomy support, seizure management or other high-intensity supports.
- Experience implementing positive behaviour support strategies.
- Experience in supported independent living or shared living environments.
- Mental health, trauma-informed or culturally responsive practice experience.

Pay: $80,000.00 – $85,000.00 per year
