Head of WHS and Injury Management

This is a strategic leadership role at the heart of Harris Farm's safety transformation, combining WHS oversight with injury management leadership across 30+ stores, 3 warehouses, and supply chain operations spanning three states. You'll report to the Group Head of Risk, Safety and Food Safety, and lead a team of Safety Partners and Injury Support Officers in protecting the health and wellbeing of every one of our 3,600+ Harris Farmers.
What You'll Do

Develop and execute a comprehensive WHS strategy aligned to regulatory requirements and Harris Farm's growth ambitions

Lead the Safety team to deliver WHS compliance across all sites, including audits, inspections, risk assessments, incident investigations with root cause analysis and corrective actions

Lead the Injury Management team to deliver timely, safe, and sustainable return-to-work outcomes for injured employees

Drive a cultural shift where safety is owned and championed at every level, not just compliance-driven

Build visible leadership from the top, ensuring executive and operations leadership actively sponsor safety culture change

Manage the Safety department budget and report on the financial impact of safety performance, contributing to EBITDA protection through proactive risk management
What You’ll Bring
We're looking for a strategic safety leader with:

Bachelor's degree in Work Health and Safety or a related field highly desirable (Diploma in WHS minimum requirement)

Professional certification such as through the Australian Institute of Health and Safety highly desirable

8+ years' experience in WHS, injury management, or a related field, including at least 4 years in a strategic leadership role

Expert knowledge of WHS legislation, injury management frameworks, RTW coordination and rehabilitation

Exceptional stakeholder engagement and influence across all leadership levels

Strong data literacy and the ability to tell the financial story of safety to leadership

Demonstrated experience leading cultural change and building high-performing teams

Retail, FMCG, or fast-paced operational experience highly desirable
