Favourhill Care is seeking an experienced and dedicated Male Disability Support Worker to support a 17-year-old male participant in the Logan area.
This participant has Autism Spectrum Disorder (Level 3), psychosocial disabilities, and behaviours of concern. We are looking for someone with a calm, confident, and resilient approach who has previous experience supporting participants with complex needs and challenging behaviours.
About the Role
As a Support Worker, you will:
- Provide person-centred 1:1 support in the home and community
- Implement behaviour support strategies in accordance with Behaviour Support Plans
- Build a consistent, trusting relationship with the participant
- Support daily routines and promote independence
- Maintain accurate progress notes and incident reporting when required
- Work collaboratively with the participant's support team and family
About You
We're looking for someone who:
- Has experience supporting participants with Autism Level 3 and psychosocial disabilities
- Has experience managing challenging behaviours
- Remains calm, patient, and confident in complex situations
- Is physically and emotionally resilient
- Can establish professional boundaries while building positive relationships
- Is committed to providing consistent, high-quality support
Shifts Available
There is potential for additional hours as the participant's support needs increase.
Essential Requirements
- Current NDIS Worker Screening Clearance
- Current Blue Card (Working with Children Check)
- Current First Aid & CPR Certificate
- Current Australian Driver Licence and reliable vehicle
- Comprehensive Car Insurance
- Right to work in Australia
- Previous experience supporting participants with complex behaviours (highly regarded)
