The Recruitment Officer position is an incredible opportunity to truly make your mark, playing a pivotal role in building Harvey Beef workforce. You'll be at the forefront of attracting and securing high-volume talent for skilled trades and essential blue-collar production positions. You will be part of a dedicated talent acquisition team, managing end-to-end recruitment and ensuring we secure the right talent for every position.
This vacant position will suit an experienced Recruitment Officer looking for a fresh and exciting challenge, or someone with perceptive people skills and solid administration experience looking to train and grow on a new career path. Applicants with knowledge and experience in the meat processing or agricultural sector are encouraged to apply.
How You'll Make an Impact
You'll play a part in developing and implementing innovative recruiting strategies, proactively identifying future talent alongside our People and Culture team.
You'll conscientiously manage a balanced recruitment lifecycle, including the creation of compelling job advertisements as well as screening and conducting engaging interviews with a diverse range of applicants.
You'll develop proficiency in HRIS systems, specifically Workday Recruiting, for every stage of talent acquisition, from job requisition creation to candidate management and reporting.
You'll ensure a positive and efficient experience for all candidates by conducting insightful and relational pre-employment screening and coordinating essential and thorough medical examinations.
You'll oversee the onboarding process for all new employees, ensuring they feel welcomed, supported, and fully integrated into the Harvey Beef team.
You'll carry out professional reference checks, and carefully prepare employment contracts, ensuring strict adherence to the correct processes and employment policies.
You'll diligently manage your workload against the headcount budget and strategically fill workforce gaps.
You'll help shape our employer brand by actively participating in job fairs and career events and developing and maintaining advertising and new opportunities to recruit talent across the business.
What Makes You a Great Fit
Your organisational skills are exceptional, allowing you to seamlessly manage multiple tasks to ensure department needs are fully met.
You either bring solid exposure to high-volume blue-collar recruitment or you are willing to learn.
You will offer strong computer literacy and have the ability to learn and utilise HRIS systems, with a particular focus on Workday Recruiting software.
You have a keen eye for detail to assist in screening job applicants to determine suitability against vacant positions.
Your interpersonal and communication skills should be outstanding, and you approach challenges with the right attitude and solid attention to detail.
You will ideally have strong people skills and an understanding of how the HR function serves and cares for staff across all operations.
