CALHN Director of Medical Services – Strategy and Performance
Overview of role
The Director of Medical Services – Strategy and Performance is an integral member of the Medical Services leadership team. Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, with a professional reporting line to the Executive Director Medical Services, the DMS supports the clinical vision and direction of the organisation, by ensuring that the culture, systems and practices are aligned with, and facilitate the delivery of, excellent evidenced-based care.
The role may deputise for the Executive Director Medical Services, including representation at management committees and forums.
Key Member of Senior Medical Leadership:
The DMS plays a crucial role in supporting the specialist medical workforce with particular regard to clinician engagement, leadership development, professional governance, medical credentialing, research and clinical practice improvements.
Primary Duties:
Medical Workforce Performance: take a leadership role in supporting governance and performance of the senior medical workforce.
Collaboration: Work with various stakeholders across CALHN to promote a safe, high-quality, and continuously improving culture.
Enhance Reputation: Enhance CALHN’s reputation for safety and quality, aligning with the strategic goals of providing world-class care and research.
Essential Minimum Requirements:
Appropriate Specialist Qualifications for Consultant registerable as a Specialist with the Medical Board of Australia
Hold and maintain appropriate registrations with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Authority (AHPRA)
