About the business
Based in Chinchilla Queensland Tango Oilfield Solutions provides equipment and services to the local Australia Land Drilling and Gas Market. Tango is a small family owned company started in 2013. However the directors have international experience and global reach. Due to increased activity and the expansion into Well Intervention Services we are now looking to add a new full time position as a Business Systems Analyst.
About the role
A Full Time Position based in Brisbane QLD the Business Systems Analyst is responsible for analysing, designing, and improving business processes and enterprise system solutions across the organisation.
This role collaborates with stakeholders to assess business requirements and convert them into functional specifications, process models, and integrated system solutions that improve efficiency, governance, and organisational performance.
Working across enterprise platforms including Odoo ERP, Employment Hero, Microsoft SharePoint, WordPress, Xero, and other integrated business systems, the role drives process standardisation, workflow automation, AI integration, and continuous improvement to support strategic business objectives.
Duties and Responsibilities
A. Business Analyst:
- Analyse business processes and identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency.
- Gather, document, and validate business requirements through stakeholder engagement.
- Develop process maps, workflow diagrams, and functional specifications.
- Conduct gap analyses and recommend technology-enabled business solutions.
B. Process & Systems Design:
- Design and optimise end-to-end business processes across the organisation.
- Develop standardised workflows, templates, and process frameworks to improve consistency and governance.
- Evaluate enterprise system capabilities (including HRIS, ERP, and other business systems) and recommend enhancements aligned with business requirements.
- Design integrated workflows across business systems to improve operational efficiency, governance, and data integrity.
- Coordinate cross-functional business improvement initiatives using project management tools to manage workflows, priorities, and project delivery.
- Support data governance practices across business systems, including naming conventions, access controls, workflow consistency, and documentation of business rules.
C. System Implementation, Testing & Support:
- Support the implementation, testing, and rollout of approved system enhancements, modules, workflows, and integrations.
- Develop and coordinate user acceptance testing (UAT) plans, test scripts, issue registers, and post-implementation checks.
- Liaise with internal users and external service providers to troubleshoot system issues and support timely resolution.
D. Reporting & Business Intelligence:
- Develop reporting requirements, KPI frameworks, and business dashboards to support operational and strategic decision-making.
- Analyse operational data and recommend process improvements that support strategic decision-making and continuous improvement.
- Monitor data quality across business systems and recommend improvements to data capture, reporting accuracy, and system use.
E. General / Other:
- Undertake any other ad hoc duties within the employee's skills, knowledge, and experience, as reasonably directed by the Manager.
- General oversight of Tasman Odoo/ERP/CRM, HR, Quality, Website/Social Media, and General Data Storage Systems

The exact compensation is commensurate with experience however the base package will include:
- Salary + Super + Vacation
- At risk bonus based on relevant sales and performance of business unit and company
- Standard work week although occasional weekend work may be required
Skills and experience
- A relevant tertiary qualification in Business Information Systems, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
- 1-2 years' experience in business systems analysis, business analysis, systems administration, or a similar role.
- Microsoft 365 Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, SharePoint)
- Data visualisation and reporting tools (Power BI, Tableau or similar)
- Project management and collaboration tools (Jira, Trello, ClickUp or similar)
- Enterprise business systems (ERP, HRIS, CRM, or similar)
- Design tools (Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, Canva or similar) (desirable)
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder engagement skills
- Self-motivated with a willingness to learn

Pay: $85,000.00 – $95,000.00 per year
