As Sales Coordinator, you will provide essential back-end support to Freightquip’s Business Development Managers and sales leaders.
You will help keep opportunities organised and progressing by maintaining CRM data, coordinating quotations and proposals, supporting tender submissions, obtaining OEM information and preparing sales reports. You will also undertake market mapping, competitor and customer research, identify potential leads and build targeted databases.
This role may suit someone from an electrical, mechanical, industrial, trades, equipment, service or engineering background who wants to move into a commercial career. Technical aptitude is desirable, but a trade or engineering qualification is not required.
Provide coordination and administrative support to Business Development Managers and sales leaders.
Maintain accurate CRM records, opportunity stages, values, expected close dates and follow-up actions.
Assist with customer quotations, commercial proposals, presentations and tender submissions.
Coordinate internal inputs, approvals, supporting information and submission deadlines.
Source specifications, pricing, drawings, manuals and other documentation from international OEM partners.
Assist with internal sales costings, freight enquiries and transport proposals.
Prepare sales pipeline reports, forecasts, budget inputs and management updates.
Undertake market mapping across rail, aviation, port and heavy industrial markets.
Research prospective customers, projects, competitors and industry developments.
Identify potential leads and build accurate customer, contact and market databases.
Support project documentation, testing records, manuals and sales-to-operations handovers.
Coordinate meetings, travel and arrangements for sales team members and OEM visitors.
Work closely with Freightquip’s technical, service, projects, operations, finance and marketing teams.
Identify opportunities to improve sales processes, templates, systems and reporting.
You will be someone who enjoys bringing structure to a busy sales environment and can be trusted to follow through on important details.
To succeed in this role, you will ideally bring:
Experience in sales coordination, administration, customer service, project support, service coordination or a related role; or a relevant technical background with a strong interest in moving into sales.
Excellent organisation, prioritisation and attention to detail.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Confidence using Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
Experience with CRM systems or business databases, or the ability to learn them quickly.
An interest in researching markets, customers, projects and commercial opportunities.
The ability to understand technical information and communicate effectively with technical specialists.
A collaborative, customer-focused and results-oriented approach.
Genuine interest in developing a long-term career in technical sales.
Experience within electrical, mechanical, engineering, industrial equipment, trades, transport, service or project environments will be highly regarded, but it is not essential.
