NB Mowing is excited to offer a position for an Apprentice Gardener to assist in all tasks required by customers at each site. NB Mowing Provides Lawn Mowing and Garden Maintenance services to multiple commercial and residential properties in the North Shore and it’s surroundings each day
Job Description:
As an Apprentice Gardener, you will be an integral part of our team, responsible for maintaining the beauty of outdoor spaces. Your primary duties will include:
- Operating lawn mowers and other equipment to mow lawns to the standard of the business and within budgeted time allocated for each job
- Assisting with basic garden maintenance, including weeding and hedge trimming and utilizing any tools required to perform tasks
- Learning and applying proper trimming and edging techniques
- Collaborating with experienced team members on various landscaping projects
- Adhering to safety guidelines and maintaining a clean work environment
- Embracing on-the-job training to develop skills and knowledge in gardening
- Other basic ad hoc tasks as requested
Requirements:
- No prior experience necessary; we provide comprehensive on-the-job training
- Physical fitness and stamina for outdoor work in various weather conditions and ability to maintain pace throughout the day
- Eagerness to learn and a positive attitude
- Ability to follow instructions and work well with and without supervision
- Reliable transportation to and from work
- Working toward a Horticulture Certificate
Compensation:
NB Mowing pays award wages and salary based on Gardening and Landscaping Services Award [MA000101]
