The Silva Spoon is one of the Sunshine Coast's favourite tea houses, known for beautiful breakfasts, elegant high teas and house-made food prepared with care.
We're looking for a reliable Café Cook to lead our breakfast service and prepare our savoury menu. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys cooking in a calm, supportive environment with family-friendly daytime hours.
About the Role
- Casual position with opportunity for permanent part-time
- Approximately 25–35 hours per week
- Typical hours: 8:00am – 1:00pm
- Approximately one weekend per fortnight
- Additional hours available to cover leave
- Award rates and penalties apply
Your Responsibilities
- Prepare breakfast orders during service
- Make quiches, soups and other savoury items
- Assist with lunch preparation
- Support high tea preparation when required
- Keep the kitchen organised and food-safe
- Work closely with our baker and kitchen assistant to deliver a consistently high standard
About You
You'll ideally have experience in a café, restaurant or commercial kitchen and be confident working independently during breakfast service.
You'll also be:
- Calm under pressure
- Organised and efficient
- Passionate about producing quality food
- Reliable and a supportive team member
- Happy to help with dishes and kitchen organisation when required
