About the Role
The Office Manager is a key operational and administrative role responsible for organising, overseeing, and managing the company’s day-to-day office functions. This position ensures that administrative systems, human resources, compliance, and office coordination operate efficiently to support frontline logistics and fleet operations.
The successful candidate will bring strong organisational, communication, and leadership skills to maintain structured office processes within a fast-paced transport and logistics environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Participate in the planning, development, and evaluation of office services, including setting priorities and establishing service standards to maintain efficient operations
- Allocate and oversee human resources, workspace, and equipment to effectively support business functions and operational needs
- Delegate duties to administrative staff and supervise their performance to ensure productivity, accuracy, and adherence to company procedures
- Oversee and maintain office records, documentation, and financial information to ensure accuracy, confidentiality, and operational integrity
- Communicate with internal and external stakeholders, including clients, suppliers, and service providers, to coordinate activities and resolve operational matters
- Monitor and ensure that office equipment and supplies are properly maintained and replenished to support continuous operations
- Maintain compliance with workplace health and safety (WHS) regulations and promote a safe working environment for all employees
- Ensure all office activities comply with relevant government legislation, policies, and organisational guidelines
- Setting service standards, budgeting responsibility, and clear decision-making
- Manage personnel-related functions including recruitment, onboarding, performance management, payroll coordination, staff training, and supervision
Requirements
- Australian citizens and permanent residents are encouraged to apply
- AQF associate degree, Advanced Diploma, or Diploma in Business Administration, Office Management, or a related field (ANZSCO Skill Level 2)or at least 3 years of relevant work experience may substitute for formal qualifications
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in office management or a similar administrative role
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to multitask and prioritise in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of logistics or freight forwarding processes is an advantage
