About Our Liveaboard Vessels
We operate two exceptional liveaboard vessels that offer the ultimate overnight experience on the Great Barrier Reef, departing from Cairns and exploring remote and iconic destinations. Both vessels provide days and nights of adventure at the best outer Great Barrier Reef dive sites, featuring options for snorkelling, introductory diving, and certified diving. Our product emphasizes delivering a high-quality customer experience, combining delightful meals, a stunning tropical location, safety, and a friendly, qualified team.
The Opportunity
We are currently seeking 4 Full time permanent Dive Instructors to join our Entrada team with the salary range of $71,000 - $72,000 depending on experience.
Working across our modern vessels purpose-built for snorkel and dive adventures, you will play a key part in showcasing the very best of the outer Great Barrier Reef to our customers.
Role Responsibilities:
- Provide a marine tourism Snorkelling/Diving adventure activity to an internationally high standard
- Provision of activities including snorkel/dive operations, presentation of information, and reef interpretation
- Provide instruction and guidance to guests in-water, including conducting briefs
- Responsible for conduct and supervision of recreational water activities in accordance with legislation, regulations, codes of practice, and company procedure manuals
- Dive Deck management in relation to systems, equipment, set-up, and monitoring
- Management of guest relations in regard to safety, wellbeing, and satisfaction
- Involved with new staff induction, training, and assessment, including regular Emergency Drill Training
- Responsible for the safety, function, and maintenance of all diving/snorkelling equipment in use onboard
- Trained in, conduct, and report on various reef monitoring programs/surveys in an efficient & timely manner
- Regularly liaise with the Trip Director and Master
- Promote and contribute to reef health surveys and reports
- Participate in vessel operations and duties as directed by the Master
- Attend crew briefings and meetings
- Adhere to company standards and policies
Dive Instructors Qualifications/Experience:
- PADI Membership and Liability Insurance
- Current Dive Medical (AS/NZS2299)
- First Aid and O2 Qualification
- Ability (and desire) to relocate to Cairns
- Cert IV in Training and Assessment
- Minimum one year work experience
