Shape and deliver the large-scale works program that keeps Sydney’s rail network safe, compliant and future-ready.
Provide strategic leadership and delivery of Major Works programs to ensure Sydney Trains’ infrastructure is safe, compliant and capable of meeting current and future network demand, while enabling efficient, customer-focused and sustainable service outcomes for the people of NSW.
In this role, you’ll:
Provide strategic and operational leadership of Sydney Trains’ Major Works program, delivering compliant maintenance, renewal, enhancement and capital works across track, civil, signals, control systems and electrical assets. You will set the direction for a high-performing delivery model that ensures safe, reliable infrastructure aligned to network demand, regulatory requirements and customer expectations.
You will oversee the end-to-end Annual Works Program, embedding robust project controls, optimised scheduling, workforce and plant utilisation, and seamless integration within complex brownfield environments. Working closely with delivery partners and government stakeholders, you will ensure commercial, technical and operational alignment—driving service excellence, innovation and continuous improvement.
You will lead a large, multidisciplinary workforce and partner ecosystem—building capability, strengthening culture and ensuring resources are effectively mobilised to deliver outcomes on time, on budget and to the highest safety and quality standards.
