About Us Hybrid Physiotherapy is a growing private practice with two convenient Sydney locations — Chatswood and York St in the CBD. We treat a diverse caseload across MSK, sports injuries, post-surgical rehab, chronic pain, and workplace injuries. Our patient base includes private, HICAPS, Medicare (EPC/CDM), NDIS, DVA, and workers' compensation referrals. We invest in evidence-based practice, ongoing professional development, and modern clinic systems so our clinicians can focus on delivering great care.
The Opportunity We're looking for a motivated Podiatrist (Subcontractor) to join our multidisciplinary team on a flexible, ABN-based arrangement. This is ideal for an experienced clinician who wants autonomy over their caseload and schedule, with the support of an established clinic, steady patient flow, and a collaborative team alongside experienced physiotherapists.
Job Duties
Conduct comprehensive subjective, biomechanical, and gait assessments for new and returning patients
Develop and deliver individualised, evidence-based management plans across foot and lower limb MSK, sports, post-surgical, paediatric, and high-risk foot presentations
Provide hands-on care including foot mobilisation, soft tissue therapy, dry needling, taping, and footwear/orthotic prescription (prefabricated and custom)
Perform routine general podiatry care including nail and skin care, callus/corn debridement, and ingrown toenail management (with conservative or surgical options where appropriately trained)
Manage your own caseload across private, Medicare (EPC/CDM), NDIS, DVA, and workers' compensation patients
Maintain accurate, timely clinical documentation in our practice management system
Communicate effectively with referring GPs, specialists, case managers, and insurers (reports, management plans, progress updates)
Collaborate with our physiotherapy team on shared cases (e.g., post-surgical lower limb rehab, running injuries, chronic tendinopathies)
Participate in case discussions and in-house professional development sessions
Maintain professional standards in line with AHPRA, the Podiatry Board of Australia, APodA, and clinic policies
Contribute to a positive, patient-centred clinic culture
Requirements
Current AHPRA registration as a Podiatrist (general registration)
Active ABN (subcontractor arrangement)
Professional Indemnity & Public Liability insurance
Minimum 1+ year clinical experience preferred (new graduates with strong placement experience also welcome to apply)
Confidence managing a private MSK and general podiatry caseload independently
Strong communication skills in English
Working with Children Check (NSW) and National Police Check
Provider numbers (Medicare, DVA) — or willingness to obtain
Right to work in Australia
Nice to Have
Experience with NDIS, workers' compensation (icare), or CTP claims
Post-graduate training or special interest in sports podiatry, paediatrics, diabetes/high-risk foot, or biomechanics
Experience with custom orthotic prescription (CAD/CAM, 3D scanning, plaster casting)
Endorsement for scheduled medicines (injectable therapies, e.g., LA, corticosteroid)
Nail surgery experience (PNA/TNA with phenolisation)
Experience working in a multidisciplinary clinic alongside physiotherapists or other allied health
