Our Client:
Client is part of the Linde Group and operates industrial gas plants across Australia and worldwide. Their facilities produce, process, and distribute gases that are essential for industries like mining, healthcare, manufacturing, construction, and food production.
The role:
As a Mechanical Fitter, your responsibilities will include:
- Perform preventative and reactive maintenance on compressors, pumps, valves, piping, and rotating equipment.
- Install, align, and assemble machinery per engineering drawings and specs.
- Maintain and repair cryogenic equipment, pressure vessels, and high-pressure piping to client standards.
- Conduct pressure testing, alignments, and calibrations.
Selection Criteria:
- Trade certificate in Mechanical Fitting or equivalent
- Experience with high risk work and rotating machinery, compressors, pumps, and valves (preferably in heavy industry, oil & gas, or chemical processing).
- Strong understanding of safe work practices in hazardous environments (e.g., confined spaces, high- pressure systems, flammable gases).
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics
- Able to pass a Drug & Alcohol test
- Own transport
