Skills and experience:
- Diploma or higher plus one year of relevant work experience or at least 3 years of relevant work experience
Duties:
- Perform therapeutic massage treatments for relaxation, remedial, and health purposes.
- Massage soft tissues of the body, including muscles, tendons, and ligaments, to assist healing and reduce muscle tension.
- Assess clients’ physical conditions, medical history, and treatment requirements before commencing treatments.
- Apply a range of massage techniques, including deep tissue massage, remedial massage, relaxation massage, sports massage, and Chinese (Tui-Na) massage.
- Provide treatments aimed at improving circulation, relieving pain, enhancing mobility, and promoting relaxation.
- Utilise complementary techniques and aids such as acupressure, cupping, Gua Sha, hot stones, infra-red therapy, essential oils, wet compresses, and stretching techniques where appropriate.
- Assist clients with rehabilitation and recovery by providing aftercare advice, stretching guidance, and relaxation techniques.
- Maintain accurate treatment notes and client records.
- Ensure treatment rooms, equipment, and hygiene standards are maintained in accordance with workplace health and safety requirements.
- Communicate professionally with clients and team members to ensure high-quality customer service.
Pay: From $78,000.00 per year
