The Role
An opportunity has become available for a Nurse Unit Manager (Perioperative Scrub Scout) to join Gold Coast Health (GCH) where the focus of our 13 000-strong team is on providing world-class health care to people living in the Gold Coast, and northern New South Wales region of Australia.
You will
Demonstrate advanced knowledge and experience within perioperative nursing services
Lead and coordinate the Perioperative Scrub Scout team, overseeing and providing clinical support and relevant expertise
Apply advanced clinical and problem-solving skills with strong managerial and leadership capability
Lead the contemporary human, material, and financial resource management for the multidisciplinary environment
About you
To be successful in this position you will require:
Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent
Registration with the Nursing Midwifery Board of Australia
Evidence of vaccination, or be able to be vaccinated against and remain vaccinated against - Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis and Hepatitis B
Tuberculosis screening, to identify if the tuberculosis vaccination may be required
Declaration of serious discipline history must be disclosed
Criminal History Screening will be required for new employees (GCH will cover cost)

The Nurse Unit Manager (Perioperative Scrub Scout) at Robina Hospital (ROBH) will manage the resourcing of 7 operating theatres for planned and unplanned surgery. The operating theatres support multiple surgical specialties including Plastics, General, Orthopaedic, Gynaecology and Endoscopy.
