What will your typical day look like?
No two days look the same, that's the point. You'll split your time between embedding with clients to understand their hardest problems and writing production code that solves them, whether that's building integrations, standing up data pipelines, or extending our platform in ways no one anticipated when it was first designed.
About the team
You'll be joining a tight, high-trust engineering team that sits closer to the client than most engineers ever get. The team is still scaling, which means you'll have genuine influence over how we work, from tooling and tech choices through to how we run engagements. The vibe is low-ego and high-ownership: people pick up what needs doing, share what they've learned, and back each other when things get hard.
We work across some of the most complex and consequential problem spaces in Australia, think large-scale data challenges in government, financial services, and critical infrastructure. The work is technically demanding and genuinely matters. If you've ever wanted to see your code make a tangible difference rather than disappear into a backlog, this is the team to do it with.

You're an engineer first and foremost, you use an engineering mindset to solving problems. You are ALL IN on how AI can solve problems. You are a natural problem solver, and new tools means you tend to want to solve bigger problems.
You communicate naturally with both technical and non-technical people. You can hold your own in an architecture discussion and then turn around and explain the trade-offs to a business sponsor in plain language. You don't wait to be told what to do, you see what's needed and move.
What you'll bring:
Strong engineering principles and professional experience building software, ideally in Java, C#, Python, TypeScript, or Go, with willingness to work across the stack.
Experience with data-intensive systems: pipelines, APIs, cloud infrastructure (AWS preferred)
Demonstrated AI native mindset – reaching for your favourite AI tools to solve problems.
A bias toward action, you'd rather ship a working v0.1 than polish a specification.
Genuine comfort with ambiguity and context-switching.
Excellent communication and relationship skills, this is a deeply client-facing role.
Willingness to travel to client sites and collaborate in person as required
Bonus points for:
Experience in consulting, professional services, or other client-facing engineering roles.
Know your way around hyperscaler agent platforms such as Amazon AgentCore
Have worked with Agentic frameworks such as LangGraph, Strands, Crew AI,
Familiarity with AI tools such as Claude Code, Copilot etc
Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code, CI/CD, or DevOps practices.
Exposure to data engineering, analytics, or machine learning workflows.
