In this role, you'll:
Oversee the daily operations and coordination of maintenance activities within the Maintenance Centre, to ensure Fleet availability and driving continuous improvement.
You will lead and manage a multifunctional team of (electricians, fitters, and rail maintainers) fostering a collaborative culture, optimising productivity, and supporting performance development in a high-pressure environment. You’ll also manage staff performance and ensure expectations are communicated clearly.
You’ll use EAM and SAP software to plan and track maintenance activities, and manage resources, ensuring compliance with safety and operational procedures.
This is a permanent full-time role located on-site at Eveleigh in a 24/7 operational environment, flexibility to be available to work weekends, night shifts and public holidays is essential.

About you
You hold an Electrical or Mechanical degree or certificate or trade qualification with extensive experience in heavy maintenance and managing teams in an operational environment.
Your leadership skills allow you to effectively manage and guide teams through change, manage conflicting priorities, and ensure clear communication and adherence to procedures.
You’re experienced in the use of maintenance management software (such as EAM, SAP) and have a strong ability to apply it to improve efficiency and productivity. Knowledge and experience in applying continuous improvement methodologies and best practices such as Lean Six Sigma
is an advantage.
You’re also resilient, adaptable, and capable of leading a team under pressure while driving improvement and meeting operational goals.
