About the role
Director of inpatient and ambulatory obstetrics
Position is 0.8 FTE (30.4 hours per week) - 50% leadership and administrative duties and 50% clinical.
Clinical duties may include service provision at Box Hill Hospital, Angliss Hospital and/or Blackburn Surgical Centre.
Role responsibilities include:
Providing clinical leadership
Promoting collegial culture of safety and respect
Supporting multidisciplinary work with neonatal services, ED and midwifery colleagues
Ongoing management and oversight of quality and safety improvement, risk management and incident review
About you
To be successful in this role you will possess:
Current specialist registration with AHPRA
Post Graduate qualifications in Obstetrics and Gynaecology
Fellowship of RANZCOG
Experience in patient safety and clinical leadership, including working knowledge of VHIMS and clinical incident management
Demonstrated senior leadership and skills in improvement practice
Healthcare workers are strongly recommended to follow COVID vaccination recommendations provided in the Australian Immunisation handbook (based on ATAGI advice). Seasonal vaccination against influenza is a mandatory requirement of this role and an offer is conditional on this being up to date prior to employment.
Those that are offered and/or start between January and April do not require an up to date vaccination for Influenza to progress providing they are aware of its requirement later in the year. Those that are offered and/or start between May and December require the up to date Influenza vaccination prior to offer.
