We are looking for an experienced Practice Manager to support our professional dental team on a part-time basis.
Deakin Dental Care is a general dental practice located in Deakin with free parking close by and bus stops within walking distance.
About you:
- Experienced Practice Manager
- Ability to manage staff and rostering dependent on operational needs, including staff absences and leave
- Maintain and manage all records to ensure we remain compliant with ACT health regulations and accrediting bodies
- Supportive and friendly towards staff - you need to be their contact and person they feel comfortable going to whilst at work
- Works well with others - you need to be able to build relationships with all staff and clinicians on a professional level
- Able and willing to help in other areas of the practice, such as covering reception, assisting with steri etc
- Prepare and run daily morning huddles for the team to ensure the day runs smoothly and all staff are aware of their roles/responsibilities for the day
- Prepare and chair staff meetings
- Ensure the books are managed correctly and there is a productive work in the books for all providers
- Assist with the management of IVs and hospital cases
- Be a quick learner and able to adapt quickly
- Be empathetic and genuinely care about patients
- Ability to build a rapport with patients
- Exceptional customer service skills and ability to manage any grievances/complaints in tactful, professional manner
- Be the face of the business and be proud to represent the practice at all times
About the role:
- Part time - 2-3 days per week
- Dynamic 4 chair practice that offers IV sedation and has a large nervous patient base that needs a friendly, supportive face to be their point of contact
- Our practice is growing and we need someone to help drive this forward whilst maintaining the friendly, family practice feel we want all of our patients and staff to experience
- Ideally, someone who can be onsite 2-3 full days per week

Pay: $54,597.44 – $130,968.42 per year
