Redcape Hospitality is looking for an experienced Functions Supervisor to join the team at The Plough Inn in South Bank.
With five function spaces hosting groups of approximately 20 to 300, The Plough Inn delivers everything from birthdays and engagements to weddings, corporate events and private celebrations.
Working alongside the venue leadership team, you’ll help oversee function setup and service delivery, provide clear direction to the team and make sure every detail from the function brief is carried through on the day.

What You’ll Do
- Work with the leadership team to review function sheets and service requirements
- Oversee event setup and make sure each space is guest-ready
- Brief the function team and provide direction throughout service
- Coordinate with the kitchen and bar teams to keep food and drinks flowing
- Respond to host and guest requests, escalating issues when needed
- Oversee pack-down and provide clear handovers and event feedback
What We’re Looking For
- Previous hands-on functions experience is essential
- Experience as a Functions Supervisor, Event Supervisor or hospitality manager responsible for leading functions in a high-volume venue
- Confidence overseeing teams and coordinating events from setup through to pack-down
- Strong bar and floor service skills
- Excellent organisation, communication and problem-solving skills
- Current Queensland RSA and availability across days, nights, weekends and public holidays
