English Tutor (Years 7-10) & Science Tutor (Years 7-10)
Cranbourne & Clyde North | In-Person Position
STEM Academic is seeking experienced and passionate tutors for the following positions:
- English Tutor (Years 7-10)
- Science Tutor (Years 7-10)
This is a face-to-face teaching position working with motivated students in small group classes at our Cranbourne and Clyde North centres.
Essential Requirements
- Completed Year 12 (VCE) in Australia
- Study Score of 40+ in VCE English, English Language, Literature, Biology, Chemistry and/or Physics (depending on the subject taught)
- Minimum 1 year of tutoring or teaching experience
- Strong understanding of the Victorian Curriculum
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Current Working With Children Check (or willingness to obtain)
- Available after school hours and/or Saturdays
- Reliable transport and ability to travel to Cranbourne and/or Clyde North centres
- Must reside within a reasonable commuting distance
Highly Desirable
- ATAR of 90+
- Bachelor of Education, Science, Arts or related degree (completed or in progress)
- VIT registration (or working towards registration)
- Experience teaching NAPLAN and/or Selective School Exam preparation
Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging and structured lessons for Years 7-10 students
- Mark student work and provide constructive feedback
- Monitor student progress and identify areas for improvement
- Prepare students for school assessments, NAPLAN and Selective School entrance exams
- Maintain a positive and professional learning environment
