Main Duties/Responsibilities:
- Adopt best practice in relation to road maintenance and construction activities.
- Undertake regular maintenance checks on any assigned plant.
- Maintain cleanliness of vehicles, equipment and depot.
- Completion of relevant job paperwork including Daily Hire Dockets and/or Delivery Dockets.
- Carry out a variety of manual tasks associated with Company operations.
- Complete relevant safety and site-specific inductions.
- Adhere to company workplace health and safety guidelines, policies and procedures.
- Actively participate in ongoing training and self-development to achieve continuous improvement for yourself and the Company.
- Additionally, you may be required to conduct other duties as lawfully directed by the Supervisor or Manager.
Desired Qualifications & Experience:
- Minimum of current Queensland HR class Heavy Vehicle Driver’s License
- Statement of Attainment or Ticket/s for various construction plant
- Construction Industry Induction Card
- First Aid Training (not essential but desirable)
- 2 or more years’ experience in a similar position/industry (or equivalent)
Skills:
- Demonstrated knowledge of the National Vehicle Regulator regulations and requirements
- Taking reasonable care for the health and safety of yourself and others, complying with reasonable instruction and co-operating with Company policy and procedure
- Comply with required safety systems incorporating usage of Safe Work Method Statements
- Ability to work as part of a team, actively encouraging team working and recognising the role you play as part of the KDW Civil Team
- Ability to follow directions
